Here is a list we have put together to help you remember those easy to forget things and places and things to clean.
1. Kitchen drawers and Cabinets
Everyone always remembers the kitchen worktops but often seem to forget to wipe down the front of cabinets as well. But also in draws, remember to pay particular attention to areas like cutlery racks.
2. Shower Curtains
Shower curtains are one of those things you just forget about and leave for the scum and mould build up. But there is an easy fix, just put them in the washing machine.
3. Door handles
In most hoses these are one of the dirtiest things. Make sure to wipe them down to avoid a build-up in germs.
Most people never wash their pillows. They usually have washing instructions on the label so, follow them putting 2 in the machine at once.
5. Cleaning tools
Yes, they are used for cleaning but they get particularly dirty. Everyone sees mops getting dirty and knows to soak them in bleach but items like sponges usually get left to build up before being thrown away but you can just put them in the dishwasher like dusters can be shaken or hit against a wall.
Lightbulbs and their fittings can often get particularly dusty, if the dirt sticks when trying to clean just dampen a cloth with a clear spirit like Vodka.
Often vents are just ignored but they could do with a fairly regular clean. Just use a toothbrush or cotton bud as described in last weeks blog.
Rather like door handles these are usually just “arranged” when cleaning. Give them a wipe down, you could even use a soaked cotton bud.
Lots of people have plants to clean the air in the house but never actually clean them. You can brush them off with toothbrush.
Believe it off our phones, both mobile and landline are often dirtier than the average toilet. Make sure to wipe them down, you can even buy specialist phone wipes.
